In this week’s design challenge, my group had to come up with a new “website crashed” screen akin to Twitter’s Fail Whale (pictured below).

The group had to choose a tone, then populate the page with content. The tone we chose was playful, and we ended up with the idea of an alien abducting the website. Our idea progressed to become an image of an alien abducting a laptop, and copy asking website users to “give us some space.”
