This project was a social project meant to further explore Adobe XD and give everyone in the class an opportunity to really learn how to use the program. We were supposed to redesign the like button based on emotions like “terror” and “disgust.” The emotion I chose to create a button for was terror.

The Button in its Default State

I struggled through this project quite a bit, as often I found that I had to do things in a particular order, and not everything functioned in the same way that I expected it to based on my experience with other Adobe programs.

The Animation Created

I believe that the final product of the “terrified” button was fairly close to my vision. I chose to use the color purple as it has some connotations surrounding fear, and made the circle which came out of the emoji when the button was clicked made of knives, as they are easily associated with classic slasher horror movies.
