Freddie’s Secret Cereal Lounge started as a running joke with my friend group, as we all had a habit of eating cereal at 3am on the floor of my old dorm while being watched by the plastic skeleton I kept as décor, Freddie. When I was tasked with creating a website for my first web development class, I knew I had to make this running joke its own website.

I started with making a pattern sheet for the website where I decided on a general set of fonts and colors, however in the design process some of the details were tweaked.
This website was hand coded by yours truly, and as such has a few quirks and hidden features.
For example, in the menu section, we see that Freddie left us some secret messages.

And I chose to code an exercise of the most difficult way to enter a phone number as a way to enter your phone number into the rewards system, though I have yet to integrate a collection of what has been entered, so it really doesn’t sign you up for spam texts!
